The Team at Viddsee
  1. What is Viddsee and what do you do?

Viddsee is a video entertainment platform for short premium content. With over a billion video views powered through our platform, our mission is to empower short film makers and storytellers to create more content, more films and also amplify their stories to varied target audiences.

2. What is Viddsee’s secret sauce?

Viddsee’s secret sauce is building a trusted platform and environment for storytellers, brands, and audiences to appreciate and engage in entertaining premium content all together. With this, we are able to build up our various business models around content creation as well as content distribution directly to an audience.

3. What is next for Viddsee?

For Viddsee, we have evolved over the years. We started first as a curation platform. What’s next and what’s new is that we’re moving on to a creation platform on top of the curation part. We established Viddsee Studios just end of last year. Viddsee Studio functions as a content creation arm for a community of creators on our platform. This opens up a lot of revenue opportunities to grow the ecosystem in terms of more content to be created, for brands or media organisations.

4. What is your greatest challenge?

The greatest challenge for Viddsee is as we’re embarking commercially in terms of content creations with brands. Working with brands, like branded storytelling, is something new in this media landscape where brands are more used to traditional television commercials. With this whole evolving media landscape, the challenge is convincing brands to invest in quality storytelling in terms of how it brings results and builds the brands in the long run. That is one challenge but at the same time is an opportunity all together. We’re at a crossroads where Television is going online and engaging audiences online is a totally new medium all together. We’re at that stage and that in itself is a challenge for us.

5. What is your best memory at BLOCK71?

The better memories of BLOCK71 is our early days starting out here. I remember I just quit my job to start Viddsee and BLOCK71 was a place of consistency and familiarity in the sense that when I didn’t have a team or anybody, I had a community I could return to everyday. I needed a sense of consistency in the midst of a lot of new changes in my life since I’m starting up a whole new thing all together. My fond memories is the community as well as the consistency the place provided. It was my workplace and in the future when I look back I think that will always give me memories of starting up.

6. How can we help?

You can download our Viddsee app to watch more short films from Asia, you can find it on the Play Store or the App Store. If you want to watch more free content, feel free to download it and have a look.
