For Singaporeans living abroad, eating their favourite hawker dishes is a way to feel closer to home.

An exclusive arrangement with homegrown seafood restaurant operator JUMBO Group was made between Prof Chee Yeow Meng (NUS Associate Vice President (Innovation & Enterprise) & NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) Director) and China CEO of Jumbo Group of Restaurants, Mr Ang Kiam Lian, when Prof Chee visited our students in Shanghai!

Studying while working full-time is no easy feat, not to mention being far from home for six months to a year! Prof Chee planted the seeds of something delicious for NOC students who might be missing home, and we are delighted that the JUMBO Group of Restaurants is on board with these special dining deals.

NUS students can enjoy 1-for-1 lunch deals* from a selection of the best of Singapore local food, or 20% off the regular menu at the JUMBO Group of Restaurants in Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an. The group has just opened its first Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh and Xinyao Hainanese Chicken Rice outlets at the Shanghai One International Trade Centre (ITC) in Shanghai city centre. For NUS students only**, don’t say bo jio!
