N-House relocates to the heart of the NUS I&E community
Recent months have been a flurry of activities and great news for the NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) programme, with the expansion of its Southeast Asia programme to Bandung and Ho Chi Minh City, research findings pointing to the programme’s success in nurturing entrepreneurs and NOCfest happening last month. This semester also marks a major milestone for the programme’s entrepreneurial-themed residence, ENterprise House (or N-House for short).
N-House, which was formerly located at the Prince George Park Residences, has moved to Sheares Hall and Kent Ridge Hall, to bring students closer to the University’s innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) community.
Their new location is a stone’s throw away from the I-Cube building, which houses the University’s entrepreneurial arm, NUS Enterprise, and its campus-based start-up incubator, The Hangar by NUS Enterprise. It is also a 5-minute walk to the Innovation 4.0 building, home to the NUS Industry Liaison Office (ILO) and the NUS Smart Nation Research Cluster.
This means that students will have better access to the suite of I&E activities, resources, and community, to attend entrepreneurial events hosted regularly at The Hangar, and tap on the event and co-working spaces for their own activities. The on-going Wicked Wednesday Series (organised by students of N-House) are held at The Hangar.
The N-House students were welcomed to their new abode at the Residents’ Welcome Day, held on 17 August, to kick off activities for the semester. Resident Assistants (students) share their experience on Welcome Day.
N-House
N-House is an entrepreneurial-themed residence for NOC returnees and current students of NOC Singapore. It aims at nurturing an active community of student entrepreneurs within NUS, while giving them access to resources and opportunities to further their entrepreneurial endeavours.

There are also various workshops and panel sessions which members of the community can involve themselves in. Not forgetting their distinguished ‘Pitch Night’, where students gather in teams of 2–5 to pitch their ideas, for a chance to be in the running for a $10,000 Innovation Practicum Grant!
